Montevallo Showcase

Montevallo is a gem hidden in the deep south; it's a place where opposing viewpoints live harmoniously due to the unfaltering acceptance that dwells within the campus gates. This university is a place where I have found myself, lost myself and redefined who I am.

FALCON WEEKLY

When directing this newscast, I was able to understand just how many ups-and-downs the news industry can have. From equipment failures, streaming difficulties and the pressure of getting the perfect story done on time some days were a challenge-- and I loved every minute of it.

The fast paced nature of a newscast is an adrenaline rush, and directing it was more than fulfilling, as it was a pleasure working with the team as we all were striving for success.

THE BUZZ

This entertainment news segment was filmed in conjunction witht the regular news portion- Falcon Weekly- but was executed more on a talk show level. Each story had an entertainment level base, and was delivered through commentary from the anchors hosting the show.

The brilliance of this show was the commentary factor, as it challenged the anchors, or hosts, to develop their own opinions and views of the material and reviewed them with the viewers.

UMMM... IT'S MUSIC!

One thing that I loved about producing this episode of the music show was the talented Wanda Wesolowski. A native to Huntsville, Al, but a current student at the University of Montevallo, she is a creative blend of folksy-songwriter with heart and soul.

Her talent and passion made the recording of the production fun and easy, as she provided the ability to create dynamic views from her varied facial expressions, and rhythm to her music.
